More than another sleep aid

Many people with insomnia have already tried melatonin, sleep hygiene changes, or over-the-counter aids without lasting results.

There is now a prescription option available outside the usual sleep aids — including referral to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard non-drug treatment for insomnia, when appropriate.

Acute / Situational

Short-Term Relief

For insomnia triggered by a specific event — stress, travel, a major life change. Typically up to 14 days of treatment, reassessed as needed.

$179$129 one-time visit

Chronic

Ongoing Management

For insomnia that's persisted for months, most nights of the week. Includes regular follow-up to monitor how treatment is working for you, plus referral to CBT-I when appropriate.

Questions

Do I need a diagnosis already?

A formal diagnosis is not required. Your prescriber will assess your symptoms during your visit and determine the appropriate course of treatment.

What is CBT-I?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is considered the gold-standard, non-drug treatment for chronic insomnia. It's a structured program addressing the thoughts and behaviours that affect sleep. When appropriate, your prescriber may refer you to CBT-I alongside or instead of medication.

Is this covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by insurance provider and plan. Many private plans offer partial or full coverage for prescription treatment; we recommend confirming your specific benefits with your provider. Provincial health plans do not cover the consultation fee.
